“Little Rainbows” is a great piece for beginners (UK Grade 1), which includes teaching concepts such as 6/8 time, broken chord patterns and pedal technique.
For students struggling with syncopated pedalling, the piece can simply be played an octave higher than written with the sustain/damper pedal held throughout.
